Overview
Identity for an architecture studio that connects place, memory, and transformation.
Dombá was born from the desire to create living architecture that is sensitive to people, stories, and place. Its work moves across different scales, from architecture and landscape design to scenography, creating spaces where colors, plants, memory, and functionality coexist naturally. The challenge was to build an identity capable of translating this multifaceted practice: an expressive and welcoming brand, connected to the Brazilian landscape and to the potential of transforming each place through what already exists within it.
Dombá’s visual language emerges from the Cerrado landscape, its colors, plants, textures, and cycles of transformation. The candombá, a flower that rises again after fire, inspires a living, resilient identity in constant motion. The illustrations take center stage: expressive compositions connecting nature, architecture, and place through organic forms, geometric structures, and references to maps, pathways, buildings, and native species. The written part of the logo works only as a subtle signature, allowing the illustrated universe to lead the identity and transform across each application. The vibrant palette evokes soil, vegetation, sunlight, and warmth, creating a welcoming, versatile brand deeply connected to the Brazilian landscape.
The result is a living, warm identity full of personality, designed to accompany Dombá across different scales and areas of practice. The illustrations form a flexible visual universe in which intense colors, plants, organic forms, and references to the landscape can grow, bloom, and transform alongside each project. Scent of wet earth and leaves warmed by the sun. Flavor of Cerrado fruits, intense and slightly tart. Sound of wind moving through vegetation and footsteps over dry ground. Texture of clay, stone, and natural fibers. Life; place; memory; transformation; courage; belonging.
