Overview
A visual series created to translate the urban study of Alto da Boa Vista into editorial collages, connecting architecture, territory, scale, and human presence.
The project needed a visual language that could support an academic research on urban planning without feeling distant, cold, or overly technical. The challenge was to represent Alto da Boa Vista through images that could speak about territory, scale, architecture, and everyday life in a more sensitive and accessible way.
I created a series of editorial collages using architectural fragments, measuring instruments, human figures, maps, organic textures, and bold geometric forms. The composition balances technical references with a more tactile visual narrative, turning urban planning into something that can be felt, not only read.
The illustrations gave the project a stronger visual identity, helping the research become more cohesive, memorable, and connected to the territory it studies. Alto da Boa Vista appears not only as a place to be analyzed, but as a landscape interpreted through scale, movement, people, and memory.
